Dancing cities
A film about Dance and four cities.Directed by Roger GualA film of the International Network of Dance Festivals DANCING CITIES.The Dance and the city are the main characters of this Videodance that travels around uncommon places in 4 European cities: Barcelona (Spain), Malmo (Sweden), Swansea (Great Britain) and Genova (Italy).The film presents a reflection on the similarities and differences of European public spaces and their social references through a poetical document that has the contemporary dance as a main conductor.We visit each of the cities through the perceptionof a local Dance Company: La Intrusa in Barcelona, Memory Wax, in Malmo, Tanja Raman Swansea and Ubi Dance in Genova.

In 2001 he co-wrote and co-directed the film "Smoking Room". The film premiered at the 5th edition of the Spanish Film Festival in Málaga with the award for best screenplay, best ensemble performance and the special jury prize. Also received a Special Mention at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and a Fassbinder Award nomination in the awards of the European Film
Academy. He also received the award for Best Debut in Tudela and the Mostra de Valencia. Besides the Goya prize for Best New Director 2002. "Smoking Room" premiered in theaters in mid-June 2002. It also publishes the book "Todo por un largo. Diarios de Smoking Room” "with Editorial Ocho y Medio in Madrid.
In 2005 he writes, shoots and finishes his second feature film, this time solo directed, called "REMAKE" which opens commercially in theaters in April 2006. With it competes in several international festivals: Mar del Plata (Argentina), Locarno (Switzerland), Montreal (Canada) and win a prize for interpretation to Juan Diego in Spanish Film Festival in Malaga and the award for best film and Best Actor Alex Brendemühl in Primavera Cinematográfica de Lorca. "Remake" is released in theaters in 2007 in Argentina and France with good reviews in international magazines such as The Nation, Le Monde or Libération.
In 2010 he directs the show “Más allá del Puente" for Santi Millán's producer company, Zoopa. The two actors are Alex Brendemühl and Marta Torne, leading the work to Barcelona Borràs Theatre and Teatro Lara in Madrid, along with a tour around Spain.
In 2012 he shot his third feature “Menú Degustación” for Zentropa SPAIN. It is a co-production between Spain and Ireland which has actors like Fionnula Flanagan, Stephen Rea, Jan Cornet, Claudia Bassols and Vicenta Ndongo among others. “Menú Degustación”'s premiere is scheduled for spring 2013.
