Susana Andrez 

é licenciada em Tecnologia da Comunicação Audiovisual pela ESMAE, com especialização em vídeo. Desde nova esteve envolvida em diversos projetos artísticos amadores de diferentes áreas. Em 2008 fundou o Colectivo Arte às Tantas, tendo sido responsável pela produção e criação artística do Colectivo até meados 2010. Trabalha como videasta e realizadora e orientou grande parte do seu trabalho videográfico para a dança, teatro e vídeo experimental. 

Susana Andrez has a degree in audiovisual communication technology by ESMAE, with specializing in video. Since young, has been envolved in different amateur artistic projects of various areas. In 2008 founded ARTE ÀS TANTAS collective group, being responsible for their production and artisitic creation until mid 2010. Susana works as videographer and director and has oriented much of her videographic works for dance, theater and experimental films.

Né Barros

Coreógrafa e bailarina, ao longo da sua carreira, tem desenvolvido em ligação os seus trabalhos artísticos com os científicos. Artisticamente, iniciou a sua formação em dança clássica e mais tarde trabalha dança contemporânea e composição coreográfica, nos Estados Unidos, Smith College, onde reside em 85 e 86. Em 2004, conclui Doutoramento em Dança (FMH, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa). Obtém, em 1992, o Master of Arts in dance studies no Laban Centre, City University em Londres. Frequentou a Faculdade de Ciências do Porto e concluiu, em 1990, o Curso  Superior de Teatro (ESAP). Para além da companhia do balleteatro, com a qual tem apresentado trabalho desde os anos noventa, trabalhou com a Companhia Nacional de Bailado e com o Ballet Gulbenkian. Como actriz, fez cinema e teatro. Realizou video-dança com os quais participou em diversos festivais. Em 2006 e 2007 fez parte da comissão de selecção do Festival Curtas de Vila do Conde. Investigadora no Grupo de Estética, Politica e Artes do Instituto de Filosofia (U.P.), colaboradora no Centro de Estudos Arnaldo Araújo e, entre 2005-07, no IHA- Estudos de Arte Contemporânea. Em 2009 publicou o livro Da Materialidade na dança e, em co-autoria, Story Case Print.

Choreographer and dancer, has been developed her artistic work in connection with her scientific studies and research. She began her training in classical dance and later worked contemporary dance and choreographic composition in the United States, Smith College. In 2004, concluded her doctorate in Dance (FMH, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa). In 1992, achieved a Master of Arts in Dance Studies (Laban Centre, City University, London). She studied sciences at the University of Porto and achieved a B.A. degree in theatre (ESAP). She has presented most of her performances with company balleteatro since the beginning of the nineties and also worked with the National Dance Company (awarded Best Choreography) and with Ballet Gulbenkian. As an actress, has worked on cinema and theatre. In 2006 and 2007 she was a member of the board of selection in the Festival of short films of Vila do Conde. Is a researcher in the group “Aesthetic, Politics and Art” of the Philosophy Institute and collaborator at Centro de Estudos Arnaldo Araújo, and in 2005-07, at IHA Estudos de Arte Contemporânea. In 2009, published two books: Da materialidade na dança (transl. On the materiality of dance) and Story Case print, this one in co-authoring.

She is a member of the Direction of balleteatro of which she was a founder.
