Duas Ofélias de mundos distintos procuram na memória do seu corpo a solução da história do seu amor. Hamelt não corresponde. Fernando Pessoa quer amar, mas não sabe como. Através do movimento e exploração do corpo de 4 performers, em espaços conectados com a água, na cidade de Lisboa as Ofélias vão encontrar a resolução do seu amor.

Um dia acordamos, abrimos a porta, o que resta? Um pedaço de parede, o resto de uma casa, de um momento. Uma recordação.O que não ruiu e nos ultrapassa no tempo.Procuramos recuperar esse passado. Será possível?Procuramos âncoras, que impeçam afundar-se no esquecimento. Para onde fugiram? Para onde escapou toda uma vida?Uma montanha e uma casa. Uma proposta e um refúgio. Um desejo de espacar e uma herança que a impede. Doi corpos em constante mutação, hesitantes sobre a dircção a tomar. Dicotomias de um corpo aprisionado pelas suas recordações. Resta-lhe o desfrutar de um espaço que se desmorona lentamente, transformando-se para sempre noutro lugar. Partir ou ficar?

Entre os diversos cruzamentos, a arte digital é ainda um domínio em expansão na dança.Apesar da apropriação das novas tecnologias encontrar diversos e importantes exemplos na dança, trata‐se de um domínio com potencial a explorar ao nível estético e artístico. Neste projecto, o corpo é o primeiro motor da acção, mas este corpo coreográfico evolui para uma relação com o seu “duplo” artificial de forma a tentar gerar um espaço comunicativo onde se desafiam os limites coreográficos e se redimensiona o Gesto. Trata‐se de um trabalho naturalmente em progresso, mas onde se testam já as suas possibilidades performativas.

Gyre-ation
A gyre is a circular or spiral form found in nature: rotating ocean currents; wind curl; concentric circles formed by leaves or flower petals. Gyre-ation is a visual exploration of resistance to and acceptance of the forces outside of ourselves. A woman whirls through a vortex of tension between natural and psychological patterns.

CHEST is about intimate relationship between a man and a woman as it develops.Throughout the duet the dancers repeatedly hammer their chests together. The repetitive collision not only symbolizes their emotional state, but also the complexity of a relationship in a society highly influenced by culture and religion.

While they are dancing the tango on the cello suites of Bach, a man and a woman are exploringtheir new apartment. They will seduce themselves, love each other, reject and move. This film is a meeting between the tango, the music of Bach, a camera and a house. It is primarily the interaction between the body and the decor I chose to focus for this film,because that is what creates the dance in the first place, then the light and the sound of it. It is all the revolutions of a couple who are given to see in this every day space : the meeting and moving in, with a still huge space to travel until the rupture and moving with a space already narrowed and becoming stuffy. And if tango is secret shared by two people, what is the place for the viewer - here the camera? can the camera dance with them?

Melancholia é um trabalho em videoarte de 05:06 min, realizado em 2013 por Marcelo Salum.
O vídeo apresenta de modo literal a quebra de uma parede, tendo como trilha os ruídos resultantes dessa quebra. O trabalho aborda relações contraditórias envolvidas no sentimento da melancolia. Como recurso de linguagem, o vídeo utiliza a apresentação de uma situação real, sem subterfúgios de representação.

O trabalho Lugares de conforto (places of comfort) foi desenvolvido ao longo de três meses numa base de utilização da prática como pesquisa coreográfica e de criação. O ponto de partida foi um texto de uma revista francesa que afirmava que os gatos sentem e sabem quais os lugares mais confortáveis de um espaço. Depois de efectuada a pesquisa de movimento por vários espaços da cidade de Londres explorou-se o mesmo movimento num estúdio branco, sem referências ou interferências.

A film about Dance and four cities.Directed by Roger GualA film of the International Network of Dance Festivals DANCING CITIES.The Dance and the city are the main characters of this Videodance that travels around uncommon places in 4 European cities: Barcelona (Spain), Malmo (Sweden), Swansea (Great Britain) and Genova (Italy).The film presents a reflection on the similarities and differences of European public spaces and their social references through a poetical document that has the contemporary dance as a main conductor.We visit each of the cities through the perceptionof a local Dance Company: La Intrusa in Barcelona, Memory Wax, in Malmo, Tanja Raman Swansea and Ubi Dance in Genova.

The things we think we forgotThe Things We Think We Forgot is a dance-video made with Cornelia Hanselmann (choreography, dance) and Christoph Scherbaum (music).The video tells about the friction between the individual and society and how mankind is always searching for itself in this world.It shows two figures, both characters of the same person. One is a seeking person. Her movements are human, animalistic and mechanically, without being able to make the movements her own. The other character is the opposit of that. During the whole performance she is busy with the same thing and rules the other person indirectly. |

Psycho-entity project (Psico-entità)Air, earth, fire and water. These four elements, from a psychological point of view identify the different personalities in our society. Every man corresponds to an element and he will be in touch with other individuals made by different elements. Different hypotheses have resulted through a relationship between two people of different elements, in a human relationship, there is the strongest personality that prevails, creating a "generative" or "destructive" entity which in that mix and blend different perspectives of life. And that's the ultimate goal of establishing different relationships.I enjoyed starting from the idea that the elements are essential, fundamental to human lifebecause without them there would be no basics for life (thanks to the air we breathe, thefire warms humans, the earth produces food and water essential for our body), butcombined with society and especially with people, everything from simple becomes complex.The name of Psycho-entity cames from “Psychological entities of man."

Um trabalho em videodança, de 10:43min, realizado por Marcelo Salum em 2013.O trabalho apresenta relações espaciais de um corpo humano que hesita entre o confinamento e a expansão. Esse corpo permanece, na maior parte do tempo se movimentando no nível do solo. Os movimentos realizados pela câmera buscam esse foco de atenção que, a todo tempo se esquiva de sua mira.Em termos de organização formal, o trabalho contrapõe a geometria marcadamente definida pelo ladrilho do piso - revestimento característico da arquitetura espanhola – e as formas orgânicas definidas pelo corpo em movimento.

Azotara
Azotara is an experimental film about light and body in movement. The light is the subject and the body in movement becomes the object. The intention was to explore possibility of art of light and dance. In Azotara we try to make visible what is normally invisible, the voluminocity of light and space. Light which ordinarily remains in the fringe of consciousness as a vague concept, has a physical presence; and by perceiving light itself in empty abandoned space rather than a representation of light, we are able to conceptualize more concretely what before may have been loos and abstract.
In this environment, light gains a more palpable presence; it becames the sensory material that allows for bodily experience of art an aesthetic experience.
We are completely overhelmed by the space. We perceive diferent shadows, small and alone in an infinite and unknowable univers. We have no way of locating and positioning ourself in reality so we are transcending into the infinite unknown.
